Glass. The Authority has a requirement for the Direct Repair/Replacement of Windscreens and Bodyglass for a period of up to 5 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years, covering a varied range of light and heavy logistic vehicles utilised by the Armed Forces. Services are to be executed in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturers Specifications. Service providers must be able to complete the supply of replacement and repair of Windscreen/Bodyglass within 24 hours to current legal requirements. Service Providers must be able to supply all necessary parts and materiel to effect the repair/replacement within the specified turn around time and to detailed quality standards. The Service provider will need to ensure national coverage in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Germany. The full scope of the service may also encompass training areas in Poland and the Czech Republic.

Articles Required:

1. A Windscreen/Glass Repair/Replacement service for Units of the Armed Forces, throughout Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Germany. The full scope of the service may also encompass training areas in Poland and the Czech Republic:

a. Supply and fit of windscreens and body glass at MOD sites or roadside to Original Equipment/MOD Specification on a like for like basis using either ready made windows, or cut on site laminated flat glass;

b. The repair of windscreens at MOD or Contractor sites;

c. The supply of surrounds, trims and accessories when required to effect glass/windscreen replacement;

d. A fitting only service where MOD supply windows/glass;

e. A removal and refit service for windows/glass;

2. The supply of windscreens. body glass, trims and accessories to MOD stores or traffic heads. Stock orders on a carriage paid basis.

The ordering process will be using P2P and/or MOD Form 932 initially with the aim of migrating all the business to P2P. Contract management will be via the LSBU Telford Contractor Management Performance Assessment tool (IMPACT).

Full specifications detailing the exact scope of the scheme will be made available to those Contractors successful in being selected to receive an Invitation to Tender.
