The provision of reinstatement materials in the Northumbrian operating area of NWL. This will include stabilised materials for reinstatement (SMR or equivalent); recycled GSB; recycled 10 mm pipe bedding; recycled sharp sand; top soil; and delayed set tarmac.
The tender will also include a requirement for collection of NWL's excavated waste for recycling.

II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope:
Annual supply of aggregates, collection and recycling of materials. The current total estimated value is approx. 150 000 GBP per annum, but this is subject to possible variation due to demand and current workload. There are four main sites for collection and delivery of reinstatement materials: Cramlington, Washington, Broken Scar, and Thornaby, although delivery to other sites may be required on occasion. NWL also require the facility to be able to tip the excavated waste at the supplier's site.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 750 000 GBP.

NWL will reserve the right to split the contract as appropriate based upon material type and/or geography as this contract has a high transport cost element.
Wherever possible NWL's intention is to use recycled material to minimise the impact on the environment and to improve sustainability.
