The contract is for an initial term of 5 years, with an option to extend it by another 5 years.
The contract value for the programme is expected to range from 5 300 000 GBP in 2009/10 (the first year) to 2 900 000 GBP for the tenth and final year (if extended).

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The contracting authority incorporated a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract was communicated to tenderers. This period allowed unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract was entered into. Applicants had 2 working days from the notification of the award decision to request additional debriefing and that information had to be provided a minimum of 3 working days before the expiry of the standstill period.
