II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope:

Her Majesty's Prison Service has a statutory requirement to protect staff and prisoners from foreseeable risks and has invested in a new form of Respiratory Protection for protecting staff when dealing with cell fires. In order for Prison Service staff to use the product they have to be trained by Fire Advisors who have undertaken a Cell Snatch Rescue Equipment (CRSE) Instructors course.

The CRSE course is required to equip Fire Advisors to deliver training on a product that has been designed to protect staff from smoke inhalation during a cell rescue.

The training will be provided to approximately 120 staff in the first year and 20-40 staff each year for the subsequent 3 years. The successful supplier is required to work in collaboration with Her Majesty's Prison Service in designing the programme detail, lead on the delivery, conduct assessment, evaluate the programme and provide recommendations for future programme delivery.
