The purpose of this assignment is to delivery a three year £ 3 200 000 investment in Higher Level skills and knowledge transfer funded by the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) 2007-2013 within the East of England. The key focus of the work will be to deliver a programme of technical and managerial skills development underpinned by knowledge transfer to support the competitiveness of the region's agri-food sector.

Following operational discussions on the delivery of this programme, it has been decided that it will be funded as a grant agreement, not as a contract as already stated. This will better align our approach with that taken by other regional development agencies and will ensure that we are fully able to meet the requirements of the RDPE programme. The specification and required outputs are not affected by this change.
