The South Park works include the construction of the landscape and public realm works contained within the southern section of the Olympic Park for Olympic Mode works. The works may include the Legacy Transformation works and may also include some specialist elements of design. The total area of the South Park section is circa 38 hectares. The scope of the works consists of but is not limited to the following:

— South Park Venue Back of House areas (the logistics area used by LOCOG during the games),

— South Park Venue Front of House areas (the concourse in front of a venue where spectators gather prior to entering a venue),

— The Olympic concourse which links the venues together,

— The preparation of all LOCOG spectator support areas throughout the South Park,

— The soft landscape areas (in particular the feature gardens); and,

— Footpaths contained in the South Park boundary.

The scope may be extended to include landscape and public realm works within other areas of the Olympic Park or off park venues.
