    Scope of service.

    Overview.

    The University has used external Service Providers for the provision of a clinical waste disposal service since 2000. During this time, the requirements of this service have expanded with changes to legislation and advances in the work carried out by the University.

    This contract will be for the provision of a comprehensive clinical waste disposal service, including liaison with the University (and at times, directly with Waste Producers) to ensure the smooth and efficient operation.

    The contract will encompass the collection from holding locations, transport to the disposal facility and compliant disposal of these wastes.

    The Service Provider may propose any appropriate method of disposal, subject to limitations and conditions of their own RSA Certificate(s) of Authorisation.

    The contract will enable tracking of all designated waste streams from the point of production/storage at University sites to final disposal.
