Suppliers interested in working with the Ministry of Defence should register on the MOD Supplier Information Database (SID) Register, available at www.contracts.mod.uk. The MOD SID is a database of active and potential suppliers available to all MOD and UK Defence procurement personnel, and is the main supplier database of MOD Procurement organisations.
Please note: the registration and publication of a company profile on the MOD SID does not mean or imply that the supplier has in any way been vetted or approved by the MOD. Suppliers wishing to compete for advertised MOD contracts must respond to any specific call for competition by submitting a separate expression of interest in accordance with the instructions of the purchasing organisation.
Advertising Regime OJEU:
— These contract opportunities are published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and the MoD Defence Contracts Bulletin. The award of any subsequent contract arising from such requirements is subject to the Public Contract Regulations 2006. Where advertising is necessary in the OJEU and the DCB, the content of the two adverts must be exactly the same. Nothing in this Contract Notice may be relied upon as a promise or representation as to the MOD's ultimate decision in relation to any contract which will depend at least in part on the outcome of the tenders from the selected applicants. Applicants should note that it is possible that no ITT may be issued or any contract awarded. The MOD reserves the right, subject to the appropriate Procurement Regulations, to change without notice the basis of, or the procedures for the competitive process, to reject any or all bids for the contract and terminate discussions and dialogue with any applicant at any time. Under no circumstances shall the MOD incur any liability in respect thereof. For the avoidance of any doubt, any work or expenditure undertaken prior to award of any contract is a matter solely for the commercial judgement of potential applicants and any claim to the MOD for the reimbursement of any costs incurred will be refused.
The Commercial Branch quoted on the front cover of this Notice shall be the point of contact for any enquiries relating to this Notice. No approach of any kind should be made to any other person within the MOD in connection with any part of this Notice and grounds for disqualification include:
a) Direct or indirect canvassing of any of the MOD's Ministers, employees, or agents by any applicant, or any of its members or advisors, concerning the award of the Contract.
b) Applicants or their members who enter into any form of collusion in relation to the competition with any one or more of the other applicants or its respective members will be disqualified from further participation in the procurement process.
c) Applications for inclusion in the procurement process received after the deadline detailed at section IV.3.4 of this notice, or which do not otherwise comply with the instructions set out in this notice will not be considered for inclusion.
It is anticipated that site visits will take place week commencing 19 April 2010.
Applicants should note that they may be required to provide further information by the MOD, particularly in respect of section III of this notice.
Additionally, there will be a reduction in the scale of the requirement at Antrim during the proposed contract period and the requirement at Antrim will not endure for the duration of the contract.
