    Battle simulators. Direct Fire Weapons Effect Simulator - Wireless integrated training system (WITS).

    The UK Ministry of Defence intends to award a contract to SAAB Training Systems AB for the supply of additional WITS as part of its Direct Fire Weapons Effect Simulator training equipment.

    It is considered that this contract can be placed using the negotiated procedure without prior publication pursuant to Article 31(1)(b) of Directive 2004/18/EC (Regulation 14(1)(a)(iii)of UK Public Contracts Regulations2006). This is because the system concerned is propriety to SAAB Training Systems AB and cannot be undertaken without access to the relevant proprietary patents.
