    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    Military vehicles and associated parts. The Authority has a potential requirement for the repair and testing of the Warrior traverse gearbox and traverse motor on all Warrior variants.

    The traverse gearbox and traverse motor shall be delivered to the Authority rebuilt to A1 standard with an accompanying Certificate of Conformance detailing results of output tests.

    Companies expressing an interest must be capable of both static bench testing and dynamic load testing of both the traverse gearbox and traverse motor. The repair instructions state that the repaired unit should be fitted to a vehicle and the turret traversed a number of times to test the clutch, brake and motor. As the Authority is unable to provide vehicles Companies must provide a suitable alternative to prove the performance of the repaired units under load.

    This potential requirement is being re-advertised due to ineffective competition being achieved.

    Any contract placed will be subject to the Supplier and Customer Performance Measurement (S&CPM) process.

    QA Standards or equivalent: The Contract shall hold and maintain a certification to BS EN ISO 9001:2000/2008, issued by a United Kingdom Accreditation Society accredited certification body.

    Estimated duration of contract: 3 years.

    Additional Information:

    Late Expressions of Interest shall not be considered.

    This requirement will be awarded to the most economical advantageous solution.

    The Authority intends to invite a maximum of 6 companies to tender and therefore may wish to conduct a pre-qualification exercise to assist in the down selection. Only those companies that can demonstrate a sufficient level of competence, experience and resources against the Authority’s pre-qualification criteria will be invited to tender.

    Contractors must be "X" listed or willing to undertake the process to achieve "X" listing. Any Contract awarded will involve access to Restricted Material.

    Should interested parties wish to provide any promotional material for review, please ensure this does not exceed 5 x A4 size pages. Companies should also detail their previous experience in this field.

    j) Has been the subject of a conviction for fraud within the meaning of Article 1 of the Convention relating to the protection of the financial interests of the European Communities.

    k) Has been the subject of a conviction for money laundering, as defined in Article 1 of Council Directive 91/308/EEC of 10 June 1991 on prevention of the use of the financial system for the purpose of money laundering.

    a) A list of the works carried out over the past five years, accompanied by certificates of satisfactory execution for the most important works. These certificates shall indicate the value, date and site of the works and shall specify whether they were carried out according to the rules of the trade and properly completed. Where appropriate, the competent authority shall submit these certificates to the contracting authority direct.

    b) A list of the principal deliveries effected or the main services provided in the past three years, with the sums, dates and recipients, whether public or private, involved. Evidence of delivery and services provided shall be given:

    — where the recipient was a contracting authority, in the form of certificates issued or countersigned by the competent authority,

    — where the recipient was a private purchaser, by the purchaser's certification or, failing this, simply by a declaration by the economic operator.

    c) An indication of the technicians or technical bodies involved, whether or not belonging directly to the economic operator's undertaking, especially those responsible for quality control and, in the case of public works contracts, those upon whom the contractor can call in order to carry out the work.

    d) A description of the technical facilities and measures used by the supplier or service provider for ensuring quality and the undertaking's study and research facilities.
