    Subject to planning and permitting approval, the works shall generally comprise; detailed design, earthworks and demolition to formation level, construction/installation of 2 weighbridges and weighbridge office, installation of a security hut, retaining walls to perimeter of the site, retaining walls to act as push walls to the CA site, construction of a new waste transfer building including retaining walls, construction of reinforced concrete hardstanding, construction of asphalt surfacing, installation of kerbs along both sides of the new haul roads, perimeter security fencing, new office building, installation of drainage and services.

    description of these options: It is proposed the improvement works are split into 2 or 3 phases to allow essential residual waste transfer operations to continue during refurbishment.

    The household waste recycling centre will be relocated for the duration of the refurbishment. The Contractor is free to suggest alternative phasing including temporary buildings on site.

    Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The Borough of Poole will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period when full reasons for the award of the contract are communicated to tenderers electronically and 15 days if sent by other means. A further debriefing session may be requested from the address stated in 1.1 If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not been successfully resolved the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No. 5) (as amended) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court. Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months). When proceedings are known to be intended or imminent the contract award process may be suspended.
