    ESPO has been engaged by Leicester City Council Revenues and Benefits Service to invite tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake a full and comprehensive off-site telephony support service over a 4-year contract term. Both the revenues division and the benefits division of the service will utilise the contract over its term as and when necessary but not necessarily at the same time. The successful contractors will supply the service for set periods when required by the Authority during the length of but not necessarily the full term of the contract. Candidates will be required to demonstrate that they are committed to developing service delivery. Other factors, which are extremely important, are innovation and the ability to provide an effective service to a diverse community. At all times calls/enquires are to be answered by trained and experienced staff using customer care / telephone answering techniques. Contract performance standards will be specified and these must be achieved. Staff will be expected to have knowledge of housing/council tax benefit / council tax / national non-domestic rates (business rates) law (English) and procedures. Other requirements include language skills, robust security and quality management systems and experience of similar contract delivery.
