    Textile Enhancement Process Equipment.

    The development and construction of a prototype pre-production textile and fibre processing machine.

    This stand-alone piece of new equipment must be capable of single step dry laser atmospheric process for imparting onto textiles, fabrics or fibres treatments and/or coatings which will give the Textile Futures project a state-of-the-art processing capability and a platform for the implementation for an array of breakthrough applications.

    It is envisaged that the single piece of equipment will incorporate several different elements. The build programme must demonstrate that, where possible, the equipment must comprise of components sourced from the UK or EU and must be built in complete adherence of all UK Health & Safety requirements. The project will also include the development of diagnostic control and monitoring systems and the contract will include equipment support, installation, warranty, the provision of training and technical support.
