    English Heritage is the leading public body with responsibility for all aspects of protecting and promoting the historic environment of England. It directly manages over 400 historic buildings and archaeological sites which are open to the public. It protects and enhances England's heritage by working with owners, local authorities and other organizations.

    English Heritage aims to offset the costs of opening its properties through profit generating activities at its sites. These activities include ticket sales, retail/catering, hospitality/events, holiday cottages, property rental and filming.

    This tender is for the appointment of an agent to promote and manage the use of English Heritage's sites as filming locations for corporate and commercial bodies wishing to film there for television and film and also commercial photography.

    The contract will commence on 3.1.2011 and the contract period will be 3 years with the option to extend for a further two 1 year periods at the discretion of English Heritage.

    The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). For the avoidance of doubt, the contracting authority confirms that no weight will be attached to whether or not an economic operator is an SME in selecting economic operators to participate or in assessing the most economically advantageous tender. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments made under this contract will be in sterling. The contract shall be considered a contract under English Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
