Information on framework agreement
Brunel University (the "University") are to build an iconic Eastern Gateway Building, which will incorporate an auditorium with seating for an audience of 400-600 people for university functions, lectures and external/public performances.
The University’s requirement is to appoint a suitable supplier as the Principal Contractor to design, supply, install and provide aftercare, including a call out service for breakdowns for the curved retractable seating system to the auditorium; some elements of which will be non-retractable to suit the configuration of the building.
The auditorium will be finished ready to receive the seating system within the timescale shown herein, and will be handed over complete to the selected supplier.
The curvature of the retractable seating, retractable seating platforms, and curtains must be continuous, and not facetted, and must follow the curvature of the back wall to allow for optimum use of the space when the seating is retracted.

CONTRACT RELATED TO A PROJECT AND/OR PROGRAMME FINANCED BY EU FUNDS
The University requests that parties wishing to express an interest submit a request for a PQQ to the contact in section I.1 by 6 August 2010. The PQQ must be completed and submitted in accordance with the instructions set out in the PQQ by 6 August 2010 at 17:00.
Tenders and all supporting documentation must be priced in sterling. Any contract entered into as a result of this procurement will be governed by English law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. The University is not liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in tendering for this opportunity.
The University reserve the right to terminate the procurement process (or part of it), to change the basis of the procedures for the procurement process at any time, or to procure the contract by alternative means if it appears that the contract can be more advantageously procured by alternative means.
Any appeals in this process should be addressed to the contact in I.1.
