    SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORKS

    The Council intends to procure a 3-year framework contract with up to 12 months extension with a number of contractors for each Lot experienced in cyclical maintenance for the Landlord Services estimated 30 000 council tenants and leaseholders properties owned by Neighbourhoods Services, Bristol City Council.

    The building work consists of internal and external painting and decorations, prior to paint repairs, replacing PVC and timber windows, cavity wall ties, tiled pitched roofs replacement and repairs to flat roofs to buildings of various sizes and construction, including houses, flats, low rise and multi-storey blocks and a few listed buildings.

    The work will be divided into eight Lots based upon the type and value of the work. Additional information for each Lot can be found within this notice. Contractors will be given the opportunity to choose which Lots of works they wish to apply for within the PQQ.

    The overall financial value of the framework ranges from 16 184 000 GBP to 25 341 000 GBP.

    The form of contract to be used for the framework will be the NEC3 Framework Contract dated June 2005. Any individual contracts let within the framework will use the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract dated June 2005. Further details to be provided within the PQQ and Invitation To Tender document.

    Bristol City Council reserves the right to procure another contractor to provide identical services or suppliers for works covered within this framework contract. Such actions will not entitle any successful contractor to make claim for loss of profit and or expensive, nor will this be considered a breach of the framework contract.

    The successful contractors will supply regular Workforce Statistics in the format specified by Bristol City Council. This data is used to gather information about the demographics of the workforce and is used by the council to measure equalities in the workplace. Bristol City Council reserves the right to use this data for any purpose required. The successful contractor will be expected to supply said data on a monthly basis during the first week of the following month.

    Details of the selection and contract award will be published within the PQQ and Invitation To Tender documents but the award to be placed onto the framework contract will be based upon price and quality. Details of how individual contracts will be let within each Lot will be described within the PQQ and Invitation To Tender documents.

    TITLE PVC And Timber Window Replacements

    The scope of the work is to design, supply and replace PVC and timber windows to domestic buildings of various sizes and construction, including houses, flats, low rise and multi-storey blocks and a few listed buildings. All contractors must be registered with FENSA and be able to provide C rated or better PVC windows. The successful contractor will supply all the materials, plant, equipment and labour necessary to complete the work.

    TITLE Replacement of cavity wall ties

  • 1)SHORT DESCRIPTION

    The work involves the replacement of existing cavity wall ties within traditional houses and house type flats which have normally been constructed with black ash mortar. The contractors will be expected to undertake a survey of the property to locate the existing cavity wall ties, carefully isolate the existing tie and provide and install a replacement tie. The contractor must provide a 25 year insurance backed guarantee for the work, which can be, in the future passed on to any new owner of the property. The successful contractor will supply all the materials, plant, equipment and labour necessary to complete the work.
