The conclusion of a framework agreement
Durham University are seeking to establish a framework for the supply and installation of data network cabling and associated services. The framework will consist of installation services for structured data cabling and containment such as category 5e, 6, and 6a and other standards as these emerge. In addition, the framework suppliers will be able to provide fibre optic cabling installation, splicing and termination services for both single mode and multimode installations throughout the Universities network of ducting around the campus and city.
Installation services required will range from Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC) service on a per outlet or multiple outlet basis, to full building installations, and fibre installations.
Suppliers will be required to provide all data cabling installation services directly, be able to provide a regular local ongoing MAC service and large building infrastructure installations, and will be able to clearly demonstrate both technical ability and previous experience servicing these requirements.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As in section V1.4.2 below
Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: This authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into. Applicants have 2 working days from notification of the award decision to request additional debriefing and that information has to be provided a minimum of 3 working days before expiry of the standstill period. Such additional information should be requested from the address in section 1.1.
If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not been successfully resolved the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months). Where a contract has not been entered into the court may order the settling aside of the award decision or order the authority to amend any document and may award damages. If the contract has been entered into the court may only award damages.
