    Service providers will be authorised to write the class of insurance listed within EU member states subject to English Law and jurisdiction of English courts. Potential suppliers may be asked to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate insurance regulatory authority indicating the types of insurance the insurer is authorised to provide. Potential suppliers must also comply with the UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills Regulations.

    Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are supported by its appointed insurance advisor Willis Limited in the conduct of this tender.

    In the event of equal scoring following the evaluation of bids, preference will be given to the lowest bid price.

    Lodging of appeals

    Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will incorporate a ten calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into. Applicants have two working days from notification of the award decision to request additional debriefing and that information has to be provided a minimum of 3 working days before expiry of the standstill period. Such additional information should be requested from the address in section 1.1. If an appeal regarding the award of the contracts has not been successfully resolved the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No5) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months). Where a contract has not been entered into the court may order the setting aside of the award decision or order Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to amend any document and may award damages. If the contract has been entered into the court may only award damages.
