1.1. Wakefield Council (WMDC) is seeking to put in place a framework agreement for the provision of bituminous materials, both delivered to site or collected by the employer from the batching plant.
1.2. All materials supplied shall conform to BS EN 13108 and the detailed requirements of the relevant annex of BSI PD 6691.
1.3. Successful suppliers will work closely with the local authority throughout the contract period to provide an exceptional standard of service.
1.4. It is intended that the employers requirements for each order will be modelled using the prices submitted in the price list. The order will then be offered to the contractor with the lowest modelled price. If this contractor is unavailable or unable to carry out the order for any reason then the order will be offered to the contractor with the second lowest modelled price and so on.
1.5. Performance information collected during the currency of this contract may be used to modify the selection process by excluding any suppliers who show a continuing trend of poor performance.
