    West Thames College is seeking expressions of interest from those with suitable experience who may be interested in submitting a tender for the provision of mechanical and electrical engineering planned preventative maintenance and responsive maintenance.

    The general types of M&E and building fabric services that West Thames College require is likely to include the following elements:

    — planned preventative maintenance for all electrical, heating, air conditioning, water and ventilation systems,

    — response maintenance for all electrical, heating, air conditioning, water and ventilation systems,

    — safety checks for gas, emergency lighting, security and fire systems,

    — lift maintenance,

    — catering equipment maintenance,

    — thermal imaging of distribution boards,

    — automated / motorised door maintenance,

    — lightning protection maintenance,

    — building reactive repair service including plumbers, drainage and glazing.

    It is anticipated that the contract would be a period of 3 years from 1.8.2010, with the option for West Thames College to extend the contract for two further one year periods.

    Candidates will need to provide as part of the request to participate process details of enrolment on professional or trade registers and details on whether bankruptcy, convictions of professional misconduct, non payment relating to social security contributions or taxes applies to the economic operator. Economic operators may be excluded from participation if any of these circumstances applies. Any candidate found to be guilty of serious misrepresentation in proving false or inaccurate information may be declared ineligible and not selected to continue with the process.
