The University of Sheffield invited tenders for the supply of a High Power Solid State Laser Welding Facility for use within the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Catcliffe, Rotherham.

Scope of Requirement:

This procurement was for the installation and commissioning of a high power laser welding facility to support process development of the manufacturing of key elements of nuclear components.

Lodging of appeals
Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The contracting authority incorporated a minimum 10-day standstill period at the point information on the award of contract was communicated to tenderers. This period allowed unsuccessful tenderers to seek a further debriefing before the contract was entered into. Should an appeal regarding the award of Contract not have been resolved, the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (as amended) provided for aggrieved parties to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
