Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
The City of Edinburgh Council wish to enter into a procurement process with suitably experienced developers, leading to contract award of the next phase of the 21st Century Homes build programme.

This phase of the 21st Century Homes programme aims to deliver up to 320 new build homes across a number of cleared master planned sites totalling 4.7 ha (approx).

The site is located within the North Sighthill area of Edinburgh and comprises a significant housing led regeneration opportunity.

It is anticipated that construction will commence in 2016, comprising a mixed tenure development of new council housing, other affordable and private housing for sale.

Subsequent property management maybe required.

The development should be ‘tenure blind’ and contribute towards the Council's regeneration aims for the area. The development will include roads, public space, commercial space and other ancillary provision. .

Development Value — 36 000 000 GBP (approx)

Conditions for performance of contracts (Regulation 39) / Reference to Community Benefits ‘Under this procurement the developer will be required to support the Council's economic and social regeneration objectives. Accordingly contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations’.
