Works are to be implemented at PHE to install 2 no packaged air cooled chillers to replace existing water cooled chillers and associated adiabatic heat rejection plant. The site works will include: • Decommissioning of the refrigerant and oil in the existing
York water cooled chillers, leaving them in situ. • Decommissioning and removal of the existing adiabatic heat rejection plant, associated pipe work, electrical supplies and controls. • Decommissioning and removal of the existing condenser water pipe work
back to the York water cooled chillers within plant room 1B27/28. • Installation of 2 no McQuay AWS 280.2.XE-XN INV packaged air cooled chillers into the existing compounds currently used for the existing chiller heat rejection plant. (T60). • Installation
of 3 no chilled water circulation pumps within plant room 1B27/28. • Alterations to the chilled water pipework to accommodate the new packaged air cooled chillers. (T61) • The addition of 2 no isolation valves and blanked ends external to the building for
future connection of temporary packaged air cooled chillers. • The supply and installation of 2 no electrical power supplies for the packaged air cooled chillers derived from the existing switch room A144a through A144 to the external compounds. (V20) SITE
