II.2.1) Total quantity or scope:
The project is to appoint a specialist workplace strategy supplier to provide or otherwise coordinate a comprehensive service to design elements of the Bristol workplace programme.
The supplier must have considerable experience in redesigning and refurbishment of listed buildings, a proven track record of obtaining English Heritage approval for alterations to listed buildings and able to work alongside council officers to implement the Bristol Workplace Programme.
The design work is anticipated to cover, subject to final programme approval, the conversion of A Bond, Smeaton Road, into new council office space, undertake the internal office improvements to the Council House and a 1980's building, plus five satellite offices spread across the city. The supplier must have considerable demonstrable experience and a proven track record in all areas of Design Specification within similar engagements.
As well as the physical workplace design, the supplier will be required to provide expert advice and guidance on implementing 'agile working/anywhere working/'new ways of working'. It must have considerable market-knowledge and experience of delivering workforce design change programmes in the public and preferably also private sectors.
The Integrated Design Contract will include:
Building and Accommodation Design; consultation with English Heritage, listed planning application / consent, architectural design, mechanical & electrical design, structural design, planning permissions, building regulations and interior design.
Consultancy: Optimum use of accommodation, required changes to working practices (team & individual), how to make flexible / mobile working work – including technology options, transition – from A to B and policy requirements for Human Resources.
Roll-out; cconsultancy/expert advice on Business Change, communications, measurement & feedback mechanisms, management confidence building. accommodation/change (staff move logistics).
The design and delivery of training needs analysis, training / learning development, training / learning delivery and training / learning approach & modelling.
