Wigan Council are seeking to appoint a contractor to complete servicing and responsive repairs to mechanical installations within Wigan Council’s corporate buildings plus the carrying out of associated electrical work. The work will fall into three categories: (i) Annual servicing; (ii) Additional repairs identified at service and which are subsequently approved by the council; and (iii) Responsive repairs on a 24 hour call out service basis. Mechanical installations covered by the contract include air conditioning, air handling, gas fired catering equipment, gas fired boilers and water heaters, pressurisation units, RPZ valves, pumps, heating, fan convectors, ventilation, kitchen canopies, gas soundness testing, smoke control systems, controls, grease traps, soil gas protection system, sprinklers and electrical services associated with the above.

The value of the contract is around 120 000 to 270 000 GBP per annum over a three year term inclusive of further repairs identified at service. The work will fall into three categories: (i) Annual servicing; (ii) Additional repairs identified at service and which are subsequently approved by the council; and (iii) Responsive repairs on a 24 hour call out service basis.
