    Heating-plant repair and maintenance work. The Authority has an Urgent Requirement for the Repair of up to Qty 81 Basic Field Hygiene Water Heaters (NSN 4520-99-225-8728) (Original MPN AUK456/002) which is used by the three services and the equipment is considered operationally critical to current operations overseas.

    Due to the urgency of the requirement, the Authority is making use of the Accelerated Restricted Procedure under the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations, as the equipment requiring repair is required to be in Operational Theatre by no later than the first week of November 2012, to meet the operational needs during the winter period, and therefore taking into account the normal procedures for advertising and the subsequent turn round of repair activity, it is impossible to meet the Authority’s requirement in the normal periods specified in the Restricted Procedure.

    Articles are to be repaired to A1 Build Standard and subsequently packed and delivered to the Authority.

    Any potential Supplier wishing to undertake the work will be held responsible for the procurement of all associated spare parts required to support any repair activity. Furthermore, the Authority advises potential Suppliers that there are no drawings or associated specifications available to issue as part of any eventual Invitation to Tender.

    QA Standards or equivalent: The Contractor shall hold and maintain a certification to BS EN ISO 9001:2000/2008, issued by an accredited certification body.

    Interested parties should in the first instance, submit an expression of interest, together with their ISO accreditation certificate including scope to the Authority’s nominated representative. In submitting an expression, interested parties must demonstrate they have access to genuine OEM Parts from one of the two sources of supply named above. Expressions of interest should not exceed 2 x A4 Size Pages.
