Description

The Authority has a requirement for a contract to conduct a study into the Crew Safety Human Factors Integration (HFI) on CVR(T) (Mk 1 and Mk2) and Challenger 2 (CR2) which is to include the following: a. Identify the appropriate limits on crew size for
each crew station in four CVR(T) platforms (Scimitar and Spartan, both Mk 1 and Mk 2 variants). Compare the results for Mk 1 and Mk 2 variants. b. Identify the appropriate limits on crew size for each crew station in CR2. Compare with the results for CVR(T)
so that recommendations can be made to the User, in order that RAC recruits can be allocated to platforms which they can operate safely. c. Conduct a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) of the Rollover Protection System (ROPS) fitted to CVR(T) Scimitar Mk 2. Consider
the option of modifying the complete CVR(T) fleet (i.e. all variants of CVR(T) Mk 1 in addition to those Mk 2 variants which are already been modified). The CBA should be calculated using Event Trees and the ICAF methodology (Implied Cost of Avoiding a Fatality)
d. Facilitate a meeting with core members of the CVR(T) and CR2 SEM Panels to challenge and validate the key assumptions driving the analysis. e. Produce a comprehensive report detailing the analysis results and recommendations that will assist D Combat, SEM
Panels and SEMC in making decisions regarding the implementation of controls. All potential suppliers may be asked to complete a Pre-qualification questionnaire prior to the tender process.
