Description

On behalf of the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham the Assets & Commercial Services Division is now inviting expressions of interest for contractors willing to take part in a tender that includes general maintenance repairs with possible structural
repairs if applicable. These works will be located in the busy Frizlands Transport & Maintenance Workshops, Frizlands Lane Transport Depot, Dagenham RM10 7YD. The value of these works will be in accordance to a client’s budget that has been set at £80.000
but will be subject to final clarifications. The scope of works includes for the structural repair & general repair work to Frizlands Lane transport complex both external & internal works which comprise various outbuilding’s such as the warehouse, the workshops,
plant rooms, garages, single storey office (including canteen), heavy duty garage, MOT garage & offices. The site is a busy area with many vehicle movements and as part of your role you will need to agree with those parties using the depot working arrangements
The contract will be executed strictly in accordance with the construction (Design and Management) regulations and the contractor shall obtain building regulations approval as required from LBBD. The issue of O&M manuals will be required prior to practical
completion being granted. All site operatives to be CRB credited.

Additional Information

How to Apply: Tenders are anticipated to be issued on 6th July 2012 for return on Friday 20th July 2012. It is anticipated that the works shall commence at the beginning of August 2012 for a completion in early September 2012. The Contractor shall only use fully trained
and qualified “approved” operatives who have experience in such renovation works. As part of the tendering process any contractors showing an expression of interest must be able to provide examples / case studies in regard to similar works previously undertaken.
Companies wishing to be considered for this project must be Construction Line Pre-qualified suppliers and must submit their Construction Line registration number along with their expression of interest. Applicants must also provide details of their previous
relevant experience (maximum 3no A4 double sided sheets) in relation to carrying out similar work of this type and value, together with case studies and a list of client contact details (ideally local authorities). It should be noted that the Council are looking
for a maximum number of four companies to tender for this work contract and that the final tender list will be selected based on the quality of your submission and previous relevant experience. Expressions of interest must be submitted in writing by no later
