      Frequency and value of the contracts to be awarded: 5 year agreement (3+1+1 - term) and estimated value of upto 250 000,00 GBP.

    • II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

      The MOPAC and the MPS wishes to invite tenders from suitably qualified and experienced companies for the provision of insurance advisory and broker services. Services required include but are not limited to:

      — Reviewing the insurance programme to maintain an optimum and economic balance of risk retention and transfer.

      — Sourcing suitable and secure markets for the placement of the Metropolitan Police’s diverse programme of insurable risks including Lloyds.

      — Conducting periodic tenders or market testing in line with statutory requirements and MPS financial regulations where applicable. The Broker will be required to prepare all necessary documentation to include if required OJEU notices, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, Tender Specifications, Evaluation Matrices and Award Reports. All contracts are to be advertised and managed through approved MPS Procurement portals or whatever method The MOPAC/MPS chooses at that time. The Broker will, where applicable, be provided with access to the relevant procurement systems to facilitate management of the tender process.

      — Providing annual renewal and day to day policy administration services.

      — Providing advice on new risks, insurance products and risk financing mechanisms.

      — Supporting insurable loss control initiatives.

      Organisations wishing to participate in the tender exercise must be authorised by the UK Financial Services Authority to conduct insurance mediation activities and must have access to in-house specialist resources and experience in the following areas:

      — Police authority and police service risks.

      — All insurable related markets including (but not limited to); property, terrorism, liability, motor, marine, aviation, private health, personal accident, medical, travel, contractors all risks, charity.

      The scope of this tender does not include the following services:

      — Claims Handling or Uninsured Loss Recovery Agents.

      — Captive Management Services.

      Insurance for the following aviation services listed below currently do not form part of this Broker contract requirement. In the future however, this may become the responsibility of the Broker to procure this using their expertise of the marketplace, or to obtain the cover through a nominated specialist Broker stipulated by the MPS:

      — Helicopter insurance.

      — Loss of Pilots licence.
