The Lonco Brook in North Shropshire has been classified under the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and has been identified as a catchment suffering from agricultural diffuse pollution. We are looking to let a contract for farm visits in the catchment. The
contract would involve undertaking the audit of 25 farms in 2012/2013. Each audit would comprise a farm walkover and examination of issues including soils and nutrient management, clean and dirty water systems, stock access to watercourses, ELS/HLS and funding
opportunities plus any other issues identified during the visiit. Each audit would result in the production of individual farm management plans complete with written advice on relevant issues.
