      This is an agreement for emergency response equipment – ladders to EN1147 for all Scottish FRS and associate members.

      Portable ladders are a key item of equipment within the operational environment of the fire and rescue service and are deployed at a diverse range of incidents and scenarios.

      The equipment must be suitably robust to allow its continued use in conditions normally experienced in fire service operations; including rescue operations and to provide a safe working platform at height.

    Following the publication of the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Bill, it is anticipated that all current fire and rescue services within Scotland and the Scottish Fire Service College will transfer to a new organisation, to be known as The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. The anticipated date for this transfer is 01 April 2013. It is a condition of participation in this tendering exercise that the Partners shall be entitled to assign, novate or otherwise transfer its part of the Framework Agreement or subsequent Contract or any of its rights or obligations under the Framework Agreement or Contract without the consent of the Contractor being required including, without limitation, to any successor body to each individual Board/Authority. By submitting a Supplier Selection Questionnaire and/or any tender documents you are signifying your acceptance of this condition.
