For the supply of prepared and unprepared Fresh Fruit, Vegetables, Potatoes and Dairy Products to various establishments within the Borough of Kirklees. More details are as set out within the tender documents.

The contract period is from 8.3.2010 to 10.3.2012 with a provision to extend for a further 12 months if deemed necessary.

Tenderers are invited to submit for one, more than one or all area's detailed in the contract location data. The Tenderer may not however be successful for all of the area's which they apply for and should note that the stated annual contract values are estimates and given for information and guidance only and the council shall not be bound by these estimates.

The right not to award the contract is reserved.

The initial selection process evaluates the Tenderer's business generally by way of the Tenderer's responses to the Business Questionnaire. The Council determines whether the Tenderer's business and its general experience and expertise are consistent with the Council's requirements by assessment of the business questionnaire responses. If the Tenderer is found to be suitable the Council will proceed to evaluate the Tenderer's submission and responses to the Food Quality and Safety questionnaire by applying the Award Criteria taking into account the stipulated percentage weightings.
